Medifast for Gout

People with gout should lose weight gradually and steadily with a meal plan that is slightly more liberal in calories and carbohydrates and contains less protein than the Medifast 5 & 1 Plan to lessen the risk of increased uric acid levels. Medifast for Gout does not induce the fat-burning state, which can increase uric acid levels in the blood. Its higher calorie level promotes gradual weight loss and emphasizes foods with only low or moderate amounts of purines.

Medifast for Anticoagulants

Anticoagulant medications are used for several different conditions, but most commonly to prevent blood clots from forming after a surgical procedure or to reduce the risk of stroke or heart attack. Anticoagulant medications work to decrease the activity of vitamin K in the body, and a consistent vitamin K intake is necessary to help anticoagulant medications work as effectively as possible. Medifast for Anticoagulants offers sample meal plans and information about the vitamin K content of Medifast Meals.
